What is online work?

 

Online work is a source of employment that allows you to work from anywhere, anytime for anyone using relevant digital devices such as a computer, tablet or a smartphone and internet connection.  It is found, done and submitted through the internet.

 

You can work Online in a number of fields such as customer service, teaching, writing, graphic design, hotel and air ticket booking among so many others.

 

Some terms used in online work  

v  Online work: Work sourced, done and submitted through internet.

v  Online freelancing: Online work

v  Virtual work : Online work  

v  Online worker: Online freelancer: Somebody who does Online work.

 

 

  Who can be an online freelancer?   

Basically-anyone. As long as you have skills to sell online such as translating, graphic design, writing, teaching and digital marketing among others with required digital devices and internet connection you can start right away.  The world is becoming digitized day in day out. This is a great opportunity to jump to since most of us have access to what it takes to start. That is some skills and digital devices such as smart phones. 

Why online freelancing is becoming popular?

There is a number of the reasons why this happens including the fact that we people tend to adjust barriers to our needs, dreams and visions.  This is what is happening here:  Some of us nowadays want to work while travelling, prefer working from home to spend more time with our families, work for several companies while starting our own businesses.  We also like doing what we love. And by the way COVID 19 pandemic has contributed to the growth of this field tremendously. In some situations you have no other option other than working online. That's where online freelancing come in. If you are willing to find your way – then you can make it!


It is a good idea to learn how to work online and start doing it before it is late because it is growing faster. There is more chance that soon traditional and modern ways of working will be a must for everyone and those who will not have adapted might be kicked out of the system. This idea is based on how technology is changing the world every single second. For instance, there are some professions like social media management which were not there 20 years ago but now are among recommended ones to have in companies. Only adaptability will save us.
